He said he gets flashbacks about a specific traffic stop, when he handed ICE the husband of a woman he knew. It was between Christmas and New Year’s. She was less than 2 weeks postpartum.

I often always remember this scene of Measure of a Man from TNG, where Picard realises the dire moral implications of the judgement over Data, and the way in which Patrick Stewart portrays the full weight of it. RIP
everyone quite rightly praises the courtroom scenes in this episode, but this quiet exchange between Picard and Guinan is, for me, a top 5 scene from the whole series
