Look. Fauci is not above criticism. As I and many Black health professionals have said many times before, Fauci's decisions lead to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths. At first, most of these deaths were Black people. Later, most were white people. As we said would happen.

@todymotmot@mastodon.social @heathen_cat@furs.social Here's what I know about the "China CDC🤡" Fauci lied at least three times. Once, when he said that people didn't need to buy N95 equivalent mask...

No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

AI labs buy, scan, shred millions of rare books

If you have retreated to physical books because the internet is too full of AI slop, bad news — now they’re shredding the books to feed their AI slop machines.

Can the Republican Party please change its name to Imperial Party? Then words make sense again. And while you're at it, please change your color. All over the world, red is associated with solidarity. Brown seems more appropriate for a personality cult like the present-day GOP.

Steve Roe did the Rakudo Weekly for a year, and is now on to other activities. @lizmat is at it again, and wrote about the past three weeks, starting with a thank you to Steve, describing lots of the work he did for Raku. rakudoweekly.blog/2026/07/27/2... #rakulang

People embracing a racist who trashes US democracy because she also now supports Ukraine need to understand what they are supporting. You must own this as well. There is one side in support of freedom and the rule of law, and this is not on that side.

🤯 Russian tourists squeeze sick dolphin to death after it washes ashore. A weakened bottlenose dolphin died on a beach in Russia's Anapa after tourists repeatedly touched, dragged, and took photos with the animal instead of calling rescuers.

This is a perfect illustration of why I have no faith in US mainstream journalism to protect us from anything.🤷🏿‍♂️ This is their idea of holding some people accountable: going to their banquets and causing fleeting, awkward moments, seconds before accepting an award from them and shaking their hand.

Wolf Blitzer just presented the Wall Street Journal an award for uncovering Trump's ties to Epstein and reveals Trump doxxed the journalist's home address in his lawsuit causing her to move. Trump is sitting humiliated on stage as Karoline Leavitt comforts him.

Oh, we're putting tariffs on countries that don't do enough to stop slave labor? Can we tariff ourselves? Because the US has the largest slave labor population in the world! Again, periodic reminder that our slave labor population is larger than the workforce of Norway. Not a typo.

🤡I love it when US folk unironically try to reply to a Black civil rights advocate🙋🏿‍♂️, about how it's bad to enslave people to make cars. Your car parts were made in a jail by a Black man that has not been convicted of any crime. The US prison labor population is larger than the workforce of Norway.
