The Snowbirds’ 55th Anniversary performance on the Dallas Road waterfront in Victoria was an incredible sight. The skill, professionalism, and teamwork demonstrated by these pilots is nothing short of extraordinary. #yyj

What a thrill to join thousands of people for the 55th Anniversary performance by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds! And we were honoured to have Veterans Affairs Minister @jillmcknightdelta.bsky.social join for the Snowbirds’ final Vancouver Island performance with the CT-113 Tutor aircraft. #yyj

12/ Canada's response is already visible. Exports to non-US markets rose 17% year-over-year, even as exports to the US fell. Ottawa now targets doubling non-US exports by 2035. That's what the leverage is buying — a trading partner rebuilding its economy around not needing you.

11/ The cost of today's move isn't only the tariff revenue or the price increases on dairy and alcohol. It's the erosion of trust with an ally embedded in NORAD, NATO, and integrated North American supply chains, for leverage the data says isn't materializing.

7/ Carney's response is that Canada matched tariffs the US imposed first, and calls this a violation of the trade agreement between the two countries. Canada is a treaty ally with deeply integrated supply chains, not a competitor being brought to heel.

Hard to overstate how angry Canadians are at Trump over these ridiculous tariffs. The United States has emitted the most carbon pollution in world history. It has caused these climate-driven wildfires. Oh and American air pollution routinely drifts into Canada. What utter bullshit.

Listen, I love a California wine, truly. But your president wants to annex our country and is imposing ridiculous tariffs. Sort that out on your end and I imagine most Canadians would be happy to have you back. This one's out of our hands!

Canada's boycott of California wine is causing devastating harm to winegrowers. I'm urging the Canadian government to recognize that California doesn’t agree with these tariff wars, to lift these restrictions, and increase consumer options to strengthen both our economies.

Trump on Balogun: "That wasn't even an infraction...this referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past. He made a call nobody could believe...he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant...yes, I asked for a review by FIFA."

The reported assault on Imam Ebrahim Ali is appalling. No one should be targeted because of their faith, ethnicity, or appearance. Islamophobia and hate have no place in Victoria or Canada. My thoughts are with Imam Ebrahim and Victoria’s Muslim community as this incident is investigated.

Indigenous Peoples mapped this continent thousands of years before Europeans arrived. Today, Diana and I visited the Nanaimo Museum to learn more about the rich histories, cultures, and languages of Indigenous Peoples — and their enduring contributions to Canada.
