Cornell Law ‘14. Financial regulation, law, politics, България, and now featuring fatherhood.

You casually accuse people of victimhood complex. People get upset because you don't understand their lives. You play victim. This cycle is repeated endlessly until the heat death of the universe.

This order provides an example of something I get asked about from time to time: in discovery, how would you ever know if your opponent just claims something doesn’t exist, or says they turned over everything but didn’t. The reality of litigation is that this will likely get caught:

This Court incorporates by reference the Certification of Facts provided by the assigned
Magistrate Judge. OSC Order at 2-7; see also 28 U.S.C. § 636(e)(6)(B)(iii), and summarizes them here for context.
On December 10, 2025, Defendants represented that Government agents' mobile phones had
not been imaged, and claimed that agents do not use the native texting function on their mobile phones as part of their job. OSC Order 9 6. But, of six officers and agents deposed in December 2025, five testified that they used their personal phones for work. Id. 9 10. One of those six testified that he did not receive a written litigation hold related to this case. Id. Another testified that he did
receive a written litigation hold, but that he was not sure it was related to this case, and that he took no steps to preserve documents. Id. A third testified that he did not search his personal phone, and though he used WhatsApp for work—he did not produce messages to counsel or save any messages.

Ok LawSky, a thing I don’t understand: if a bet on the outcome of a sporting event is just a swap under the CEA, why isn’t every sportsbook in Vegas that takes bets on out-of-state games operating as an unregistered futures commission merchant?

"I think beef tallow is more natural than seed oils, which I don't really understand what those are, but I heard they were bad in a YouTube video. Also can I sell you some Herbalife stuff?" is a shockingly large number of lower-middle and working class voters.

I actually believe her. I 100% believe that it took career officials like Spence telling Pirro that either she authorize them to file this or they were going to do something like disclose it to the judge and then resign in order to get her to authorize them to do what they were legally required to.

"Pirro told Trump it was the career officials in her office that were responsible for the filing, another source said."

The last page of the filing, showing it was "respectfully submitted" by Jeanine Ferris Pirro, but signed by AUSA Michael P Spence

To the reports. It's best to read the 6/30/26 report in the context of the 3/31/26 reports. The 6/30 report shows that they had a loss of $3.17B in the first half of 2026. But the 3/31 report shows that in the first quarter they had a gain of $1.04B, so the actual loss in Q2 was $4.21B. 7/

Had a moment to read Tether's 6/30/26 Assurance Report from audit firm BDO, and it really does look bad. US Dollar Token (USDT), the largest USD stablecoin with an issuance of $183 Billion, lost over half its capital in the second quarter of 2026. A repeat would mean they're insolvent. Thread 1/9

Man, Tether’s USDT 6/30/26 reserve report looks very bad to me. Their current leverage capital ratio is 2.18%. To put that in perspective, if they were an insured bank, we’d almost certainly be conducting a failed bank auction at this point. They’re just 19 basis points from when resolution would…

You'd have to read to the thirteenth paragraph to discover the pull quote for the title was from Marcus Siding, a 23-year-old Swedish man living in Sweden that wanted to become a cop, but his ADHD diagnosis at the age of 12 barred him by law from becoming a Swedish cop Seems relevant

'“When my ADHD diagnosis was removed, it was a relief’
Rates of conditions such as ADHD and autism seem to be ever growing, but some adults diagnosed in childhood are happy to be free of their labels”
