Slightly spicy take: It makes me sad to even see this occasionally from fellow peers in industry, who also just assume by being in games/playing games is somehow a pass where ”you know game design”. Like it’s just something we all inherit by being in the games industry.

I don’t know if it was a smart idea to focus on both as a profession. Certainly an occasionally frustrating idea.
