Ukraine took out 2 huge data centers, and just like that--POOF! Pro-Trump/MAGA posts on US social media plummeted. Same happened to posts boosting Germany's far-right AfD. The primary function of those Bots is to boost groups Putin believes will destabilize the west. #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory

Russia's Yandex bot traffic nearly eliminated overnight after Ukraine drone strikes cripple multiple of 'Russia's Google' data centers — Ukraine intensifies bombing of Yandex data centers in response ...

The world is getting a break from Russian bots thanks to Kyiv.

this is the ultimate end point of capitalism, ai will completely atomize everyone and there will be zero shared experiences. there will be no culture, only pure consumption. this must be resisted

Abu Dhabi Andy is hugely misreading the level of anger at City's cheating across the football community. Could be politically ruinous for a new PM with a hopeful message to align himself with the powerful against working class fans in stadiums around the country. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

Andy Burnham admits to ‘concern’ if Manchester City lose their owners after guilty verdicts

The primer minister said: ‘City have been a huge partner in building modern Manchester,’ while the Independent Football Regulator said it is monitoring the case

For someone who claims to have no knowledge of cheating by City, Pep Guardiola has spent a lot of his career in close proximity to cheating. Accused of doping at Brescia. Refs paid off during his tenure at Barca. And now the biggest cheating scandal in the history of football at City. Smoke = fire.

One thing I'd love to know about the Manchester City thing is how is £900 million pound of fraud not a police matter? Why aren't Scotland Yard detectives kicking in the doors of City's offices?

If the United Arab Emirates wanted to launder their reputation through Manchester City then I'm not sure cheating on an industrial scale presents the best image of your country.

I first came across Nick's work in 2014 and had been following it for years as he's been banging the drum not only on City's cheating but on the role of nation states and billionaires in football. Can only imagine the vindication he's feeling these last few days after being hounded by City fans.

On this special day, a big shout out to @sportingintel.bsky.social, who's been reporting on Man City's cheating for years now. The abuse I've seen this guy subjected to over on Muskistan from City supporters was vile and prolonged. Well done and thank you for not backing down!!

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

My issue with this is that they’re stewing in a cesspool of “race science,” Nazis, persistent degradation of marginalized genders, reactionary politics, and CSAM, and their focus is on not being yelled at for pro-AI views that can be curated via aggressive muting and blocking tools.

The last skeet in a thread from Mike Masnick @masnick.com:

I don't think everyone needs to use Al. I don't think it's good that Al is being shoved everywhere when it's not wanted or asked for.
But I don't find the complete hatred of all Al tools productive or helpful to building a better internet. And others appear to be feeling the same thing.
