The Trump National Golf Club in Northern Virginia has a pest control problem and a litany of health violations. That includes swarms of small flies observed in a storage room, several perishable food items stored above 41 degrees, and improper storage of raw steak, fish and burgers.

Idaho health officials are investigating how nearly 60 people got sick after drinking raw milk in the past two weeks. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare says they didn't name two dairies potentially linked to the outbreak “because this is a potential risk for any raw milk producer.”

This is exactly why language matters: “women were given the vote” frames equality as a gift from men, instead of hard won political power extracted through organized resistance. Nobody gave women anything. Women fought, marched, strategized, endured violence, went to prison and died for it.
