Sorry this isn't another Etch A Sketch doodle, you people really liked that. I'm still plugging away at the State/Provincial dinosaurs/fossils. The plan is to also release stickers and well as 8x10 prints of each of the illustrations without the state border.

I'm a bit late, but "Great Maia" might be one of, if not *the* best Dinosauria short. If nothing else, it may have the best portrayal of Maiasaura (and hadrosaurs in general) in a film. Visually, emotionally and for the animals' characterization, David Armsby outdid himself.

as always, andrey atuchin is way ahead of everyone else and has reconstructed maiasaura like this twice, both of which look beautiful. besides him, i've only seen it done this way in one or two sketches. i hope eventually it starts to actually catch on.....
the palaeontology hill i'll die on is that i'm 99% sure almost everyone is depicting maiasaura's head wrong. it really could not be clearer that the 'crest' is supporting a much larger soft tissue structure - something even nonce horner noticed in 83! - but barely any artists have picked up on it.
