In a college sociology class in the late 1980s I was assigned a Marxist analysis of education that argued that the US education system is designed primarily to produce efficient workers for the labor market. And now Trump’s Department of Education is just tweeting it out.

i think that rule-breaking posts that old, except in rare, extenuating circumstances, should simply be taken down when moderation becomes aware of them, maybe with a written warning issued to the author, but no penalty. there has to be a reasonable boundary, else moderation becomes a grudge-weapon

i think it's bad to engage in sexual harassment, particularly sexual harassment with a violent framing, regardless of how it affects how people treat us because sexual harassment is bad you don't need a more nuanced reason to refrain from sexual harassment, "it's bad" is more than enough.
