soo, is there a build system for gluing together other build systems (stack, cargo, cmake) that doesn't suck?

would you rather have a justfile-that-grew-into-a-shitty-build-system daughter or a makefile-that-should-be-a-task-runner son
i think the scummiest part of LLM codegen is that you never know if you're getting an amalgamation of some common idea it's been trained on a million copies of, or just getting One Guy's passion project with the identifiers changed a bit, a thing i have overheard happening more than once
It’s the third time in two weeks that blog writers revamped their whole rss feed without stable IDs, each time my reader picked all of them as new.
gm tanglers! its time for the release thread 🧵 ⭐ you can now access CI logs right from your terminal, with plain ol' SSH ⭐ 1. push your changes 2. if CI is triggered, the knot will give you an ssh command 3. paste that into a new shell 4. live tail CI logs! watch to know more: 1/5
hello everyone! we're hard at work on an imminent launch. we have scalable monorepo support, jj-first concepts (but deep git compatibility!) and stacked diffs. we're very flattered by the attention yesterday and today!
I'm *very* excited to report that we got initial funding and have hired our first Rust maintainers! RustNL's Rust Maintainers Team starts out with two full time maintainers, one intern, and five part-time maintainers, now stably employed to continue their work on Rust! 🎉 rustnl.org/maintainers/
I'm excited to share what I've been working on with @erikjee.bsky.social: RustNL's #rustlang Maintainers Fund! Many people and companies contributing to Rust, but there are fewer and fewer paid positions for general maintenance (reviews, cleanups, etc). We need to fix that. bsky.app/profile/rust...
This is the best product review I’ve read: samhenri.gold/blog/2026031... It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in the MacBook Neo or not; this is the kind of essay that makes you think about the potential of technology and the joys of exploration.

Just published version v0.2.1 of github.com/mrnossiom/wa.... It now correctly propagates wakatime-cli error codes as a warning message instead of crashing. Makes it easier to detect a broken setup. Pretty neat :)

it's been a minute, but cooking takes time! 🥘 we've got a neat collection of updates for you, so let's dive in! most important of all: knots are now independent of appviews! the knot secret is gone, in favor of simply declaring your owner + a knot record in your PDS. ✨ decentralization ✨
gm tanglers! we've got a ton of changes for y'all this week: firstly, the brand new ✨Timeline ✨ head to tangled.sh to check it out!
@mcy.gay I believe you have an issue in your RSS feed. All post links have this form mcyoung.xyz/https://mcyo... and land on a 404. It reduces the speed at which I can read your great content :)
what's up tanglers‽ most of y'all probably know that we've been busy building CI, and we're finally at a stage where we can invite some users to self-host "spindle"—the new workflow runner—or to run builds on our hosted spindle instance. ✨ feel free to reply down below if you'd like an invite!
happy sunday tanglers ☀️ we've got a fun set of updates! first up and much requested feature: verified commits! you may not get the verified badge on bsky, but your commits can get one on tangled! here's how: 1. link your email via /settings 2. sign your commits using ssh
I'll be participating in the HackDays 2025 organized by the DGNum between the 2nd and the 4th of June. These are made to better the experience on "La Suite Numérique", a French-backed, open-source alternative to Google Docs and Microsoft Office.
happy sunday tanglers! we're pleased to announce that we've shipped ✨ OAuth! ✨ you can now login by simply punching in your handle (or did!) into the tangled.sh/login page, and authenticate using your PDS. rejoice, for no more app passwords!
