I saw someone mentioned this comic on Bluesky today, which reminded me that I haven't publicly asked DC to collect Len Strazewski and Mike Parobeck's 10-issue, 1992 JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA series in a while. Please DC Comics, for the love of God, collect this series.
Because modern smartphones don't anymore, as the mic and speakers are .. suboptimally positioned for holding it up to your ear. Which means you have to either use headphones or turn on the speaker.

On October 7th, 2023 Hamas handed Israel a PR coup on a platter following 25 years of gutter Islamophobic racism which took so hard it's being used in election campaigns right this second. In spite of all that, Israel managed to completely blow it, and you want that to be someone else's fault.

OR they could have joined the next govt, where they could push for an end to arms sales, sanctions, support for the arrest warrants etc. It was never going to be both. It is obviously better to have a social stigma *against racism* and for people who may, very rarely, get caught up in being accidentally accused of it to simply get over themselves and change their behaviour. But this does not allow racist middle class people to obfuscate their bigotry.
The trans panic is a manifestation of the same logic as the Satanic Panic - shifting culpability for widespread abuse and rape away from cishet men and onto an exotic other who might secretly be somebody you know and must be vigilant against instead of being vigilant against the men in your life

Watching the Hill/Thomas hearings angered me so much that I decided to put together a portfolio of cartoons about women's issues, found a list of U.S. newspapers, and mailed them out. That's why I'm an editorial cartoonist today.

Finally reading The Persephone Effect and we go from our protagonist almost being taken over by dearest mom only to survive an assassination attempt and then with her mother's ichor still on her, attemps and seems on her way to succeed in seducing another goddess? Bit of a tame opening chapter.
