this varies from developer to developer, but i do want to note that none of our games have DRM, even if you buy them on steam!
Moni le Nyan@monilenyan.bsky.social · 7d agoVery very subjective confirmation when it comes to me: I will check if the game is on GOG and Itch. At equal pricing, the no-launcher/drm option wins, no question. If you have sales only (or much bigger) on Steam, I'll feel a bit tortured.
I said this a dozen times or so during my co-stream, yeah. I have a Steam backlog eight miles deep. I can ride out the AI bubble and have games enough to play until I'm 80 and never have to touch anything soiled by genAI bullshit.

hey so fun fact if you go to any link in steam and right click it, a fun option "Open link in new tab" pops up This opens up a chrominium window that lets you redirect the client to any link you want. since it's chrominum, you can install whatever addons you wish to steam.
