Podcast exploring great original movies and their often not-so-great remakes Follow and listen and etc. here: https://linktr.ee/withfeelingpod

I've been on a lot of podcasts and I love all of them equally, but this convo about The Wicker Man, transmutation, faith, power, folk horror, the American psyche, and how deeply the 2006 film fails at every step is maybe loved a little more equally

Hello here is one of our favorite episodes to date, with the always-insightful @foldablehuman.bsky.social. We talked about The Wicker Man (1973) and also The Wicker Man (2006). And also like eight other things. youtu.be/aEjUQn6Kr_s

Every time I re-watch The Wicker Man (2006) it takes me all day because I keep pausing to do more exciting things like the dishes, checking the mail, or taking out the compost.

My 9th grade English teacher always said “the only thing [someone] has to do is die” and that’s stuck with me big time

This reminds me of something @themorbidzoo.bsky.social said on the most recent episode of @withfeelingpod.bsky.social: “All of those shitty critics [asking] well, why does any movie really have to exist? Stop. Enough. You know, you will know when a movie has to exist.”

If you meet your exact doppelgänger at summer camp, you’re either: 1. About to be murdered 2. Secretly starring in another remake of Disney’s The Parent Trap (1961 & 1998) Either way you should listen to our new episode for tips, tricks, and because it’s good www.patreon.com/posts/160062...
