Proudly leading the Metro team @wmata.com (America’s Metro System) as GM & CEO. Also on IG and Twitter with same handle.

4 years today I had the privilege of become Metro GM. It’s been an incredible opportunity & I’m honored to have the role and be part of the best team in transit. Never ending things to improve but proud of what we have collectively accomplished. Riding today like day 1. Onward!

Metro has made great strides over the last several years in reducing the number of “hot cars” but if you still encounter a car with A/C issues, you can quickly report it. ⬇️   Call/text 202-GO-METRO or use the Metro Pulse app chat to share:   1. The railcar number 2. The line you are traveling on

3 important reminders for new (and long time) Metro riders! 1. Stand right, walk left 2. Take off backpacks to make room for others 3. Move out of doorway to let people off and on Basically be mindful of others. Pass it on and enjoy a more peaceful ride.

Since July 6, we’ve seen more than 200K customers take the free shuttles between Friendship Heights and North Bethesda. A huge thank you to our dedicated shuttle support staff for guiding customers to the shuttles during Red Line construction! 🚌

10k+ people visiting @wmata.com Pop Up Shop was almost unimaginable years ago. 🙏for the support. I’m so incredibly proud of Metro’s transformation & especially grateful for my amazing 13k colleagues that have worked so hard to deliver for our community. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

Join Kojo as he speeds his way to the studio to talk with Metro General Manager Randy Clarke on this week's Politics Hour. Tune in Friday at noon to WAMU 88.5!

Record 4th of July ridership! 🎆 Amazingly we had 120k after midnight as we stayed open late to move the massive crowds. Thanks for riding America’s Metro System. Pls join me in 👏 the hard working @wmata.com staff who planned & executed great safe service for our region & country.

Come visit us at the National Mall to see a fully resorted 1000-series railcar and a mockup of the 8000-series. 🚊🤩 📍🏃‍♂️ Here’s how to get to our exhibit at the Freedom250 Great American State Fair from Archives station. We’ll see you there!

New uniforms rolling out today across the system! 🤩 Employees shared feedback during the design process, which led to clothing with better breathability, more useful pockets, & greater range of motion. It's a new chapter for Metro’s frontline teams as we celebrate 50 years of serving the DMV! 😎

Have you heard about our “chillers”? This cooling system uses chilled water – cooled to 40°F – instead of traditional AC to help make rail stations feel more comfortable in hot or humid weather. It won’t feel like your AC at home, especially in extreme heat, but we’re doing all we can!

In his opening comments, WMATA GM Randy Clarke says the number of people who will leave the new Commanders stadium after a game will equal "up to three Nats games, all leaving at the same time. That is a serious amount of planning we have to work through."

Metro ❤️ our customers! In just 2 days 3000+ people have shopped at our special America 250/Metro 50th Pop-Up shop. Big thx to our staff who has been working really hard to keep shelves stocked & keep lines moving quickly. What a way to celebrate our @wmata.com anniversary. Happy Weekend!

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️ I met my bestie on the subway 23 yrs ago and have been lucky to share a great journey together. Another reason to take the 🚇 or 🚌. You can’t meet your future sitting in traffic by yourself. Let me know if you have any fun transit love stories.

This year is one of reflection for me. First year of my second term on the @wmata.com board. My 45th birthday. My 20th wedding anniversary. It means something that all this time has not changed the lift I feel in my heart when my train comes to take me home. Let’s go, 2026. #dc #wmata

This coming weekend, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Pentagon City and National Airport on the Blue and Yellow lines. Crystal City station will be closed. In addition, trains will single track on the Red Line between Silver Spring and Forest Glen. Learn more: wmata.com/weekend

Service advisory for Feb. 14-16: Red line, single tracking between Silver Spring-Forest Glen. Yellow/Blue lines, Crystal City station closed with free shuttle between Pentagon City & Ronald Reagan Airport. More at wmata.com/alerts, @wmata, 202-GO-METRO.

In response to feedback, we are updating the way we communicate bus delays related to operator availability. Instead of describing the cause, we will now focus on the estimated timing for resolution. For example, customers may see “expect delays until 9:05 a.m.” (1/2)

So proud of how Team Metro continues to lead the country in ridership growth by delivering safe, frequent & reliable service. For 3+ yrs the team has been all in on what our customers need and it shows. Thx you for recognizing their hard work. Onwards in 2026!

Today we have US transit data for all of 2025, & DC's WMATA was officially the fastest-growing major US agency, with ridership up 8.7%! The LIRR (NY, 6.4%), King County Metro (Seattle, +6.5%) & SEPTA (Philly, +4.7%) performed well, while LA Metro & NJTransit lost riders🧵

Metro kept the region moving last week, delivering more than 2.9 million trips during and after the snow and ice storm. While cars were snowed in, Metro continued to provide service - demonstrating the value of transit in our region! 💪

Salt residue from outside + very cold temperatures followed by warm, moist air = slick conditions at some of our stations. Our team is on top of it - scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming floors with dry vacs. Please be cautious and mindful of any wet floor signs.

Always great to visit w/ our DMV Congressional delegation to discuss all things @wmata.com, re-authorization, how we are supporting National events & driving economic growth. We appreciate all of their support and can’t wait to see our special 50th Anniversary Map in their offices.
