The whole point of a trade review for me as a librarian is to give me insight into the text beyond the cover copy. I'm evaluating it for a collection. I need to know about the book so I can put that up against our community needs. Summaries don't do that. These aren't helpful as a librarian.

Something I've noticed happening more and more lately are trade reviews that barely review the book. Publisher's Weekly and Kirkus will have a review that's 90% a description of the plot and characters, then 1 sentence at the end to aid librarians in deciding if it's worth adding to a collection.

The way they’re threatening Dr. Fauci isn’t new in this country. Just look at how they treated Einstein. America has a long history of turning on smart people when their knowledge makes powerful people uncomfortable.

I would love to know how much money and time is being wasted on the obscene number of stupid lawsuits at this point. It’s obvious they’re doing this now for the sole purpose of ruining people’s lives.

In my entire career with the FBI, had I investigated a case without first ensuring that I had *all* of the evidence we would need at trial, no federal prosecutor would even consider seeking charges. These AUSAs should be referred — as should their chain of command — for disbarment.
