What should always have been understood as a story about racist harassment was successfully reframed as one about “scientific integrity”, in no small part because the aggrieved white academics driving the campaign largely escaped scrutiny themselves. It remained relentlessly focused on Arday.
There's a whole bunch of white male academics who were told that their era is up, and who are now organising. I mean C'mon, this is a MUCH bigger story than the Arday one.
