During summer breaks, my folks made me pick a random encyclopedia book off the shelf every day and write a short essay on something I found interesting to recite at dinner. Eventually, I convinced them I could do this in the form of short fiction stories. I was not cool, I guess is the point.

One THOUSAND PERCENT. Ours had these cool transparency pages in the human body entry that layered all the different systems (circulatory, muscular, skeletal, etc) on top of each other. Very cool!
