A crown-wearing frog sitting on a lilypad. A crowned man with gold hands resting on his shoulders, instead of a face there's an oval showing a dimly lit corridor. A white horse in fog. A large tree with moss covered roots. A book with sparkles and light emitting from the pages. A close up of a red apple. A woman in a blue gown and cloak, with a tiara.

🦌⚓ They said a whitetail deer could never set sail... they were wrong. Meet BUCK, the deer with hooves for hands and a heart full of pirate dreams. From ridiculed fawn to legendary "buck-aneer," this is a rhyming tale about chasing your wildest goal — no matter who's laughing. 🏴‍☠️ #📖 #Q #PB #BluePit

I am currently in the final round of revisions of my cozy fantasy HEDGE MAGE FOR HIRE before querying. It features: - Chasing your dreams - Dad Issues - Friends to Lovers - Magical Animal Sidekick - A city built around a bottomless Pit - What truly makes you happy? #📖 #A #F #W #BluePit

Lady Artemisia, thirteenth in line for the throne, always hated her father’s plans for her political future. All she wants is to apprentice as a mage in the city-state of Pit’s Burg and study the bottomless pit it was built around. But when she finally runs away from home to chase her dream, she never considers the possibility that her application to the Convocation of Mages would be rejected.

Now with no one willing to teach her magic and in need of a way to earn enough coin to survive, Artemisia decides there’s only one logical choice: go into business as a hedge mage for hire and teach herself. What better way to learn magic than on the job?

Except it turns out running a shop isn’t easy, and magical knowledge isn’t free. Worst of all, her father is still looking for her, and if he finds her he’ll stop at nothing to force her to return to a life of boring state dinners and stuffy council meetings. Soon Artemisia is forced to ask herself just how far she’s willing to go to ensure her dreams come true.

Hedge Mage for Hire is a cozy fantasy about finding the happiness in chasing your dreams and the people who help make them come true.

I try to seem unbothered as he takes his time, walking back to the leather loveseat across from mine. He sits down slowly, soaking in my attention, but I can’t take my eyes off him. His arms stretch out lazily on the back of the chair, a prince of darkness surveying his domain.

The room warms. So warm that sweat prickles the back of my neck. I glance at the clock over the fireplace again. Terror wraps around me like the snake dancing on his forearm. I need to get out of here.

He cocks his head to the side, waiting, and I debate lying. There are no benefits to a demon knowing your name. Except my mind is blank. I can’t remember any goddess-blessed name except my own.
