The (normal) high school I taught at, while I was there we had a couple of our boys go to college on a full invite scholarship for basketball. *None* of them went pro. It's just not the same thing.
the best HS teams in the country have multiple guys who will be in the NBA in a couple of years. they aren't normal high schools, they're basketball factories. but this literally doesn't matter. the value of women's sports isn't contingent on their performance vis a vis men.
