A constant reminder that even if CO₂ emissions decreased annually as much as they did during the pandemic lockdown from now to 2030, we still wouldn't meet our emission target to keep global warming below 1.5°C.
Saw a skeet from @neilrkaye.bsky.social on a bulletin board today. Also, if you are 30 years old, more than half of all fossil fuel CO₂ emissions have occurred in your lifetime.
We got a message from the university to remove any use of the "DEI", "diversity", "equity", or "inclusion" from all public-facing documents. They said that even "biodiversity" is being flagged by the federal government. We live in the dumbest timeline.
