Good to see everyone in leadership united behind the nominee. That's good to see for the general!
My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.
I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.
One way to be safe is to never write an electability take
A lot of people are going to try and insist in about six hours that being outspent by tens of millions of dollars and winning by five to possibly fifteen points is actually not that big of a deal
I think on the whole it’s totally fine in principle to urge people to be cautious in how they talk about AIPAC et al but some people really do need to get it thru to themselves that it is actually exceptional for one organization to spend >30M on a single primary like it’s nothing.
I believe in the kind of America where no matter where you grow up, the color of your skin, how you pray, you deserve equal rights in this country. You deserve to go to a good school, get healthcare when you need it, and know that you can graduate and get a good job.
Proud to have voted for Abdul and Aisha Farooqi in this primary

Ezra Klein is wrong: shame is essential.

Everywhere should be a hostile place for Republicans. They should not be able to find a friend anywhere. They should lose all their professional and familial relationships. They should be blocked from signing up to social media platforms, clubs, and yard sales. They should be ejected from fairs.
Btw Politifact listed this as mostly false and this is just straight up bullshit fr fr
U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens said she did not take donations from two major Michigan utility companies during her U.S. Senate campaign. Their donations were made to her House committee then transferred to the current campaign.
If only centrist Democrats had fought Trump since November 2024 as hard as they've fought Abdul El-Sayed over the past few months.
It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough
Sad to see Dana take that bait but it's really important for journalists when talking to people like RFK to just keep asking for evidence and let them blow up on their own. You have to rope-a-dope them and not let those attacks get to you. This kind of interviewee tuckers themselves out eventually
Not that it’s easy, but way too many journalists take the bait here and start defending themselves and their profession in how-I-do-my-job terms rather than pressing their questions and getting the subject to flame out as they refuse to answer.
Remember when David Hogg was running for DNC chair and the establishment stepped in and said we needed a responsible adult and then gave us Ken Martin, who throws his phone at his staffers? Also the DNC is $2 million in debt. But centrists still demand they should be in charge.
Gonna start asking these out of state disinfo accounts very niche, Michigan questions now
Regardless of what happens on Tuesday, I will be very emotional. Being in this state and watching Abdul run the campaign that he has has been amazing to watch for this primary. He has spoken to something tangible and real, and it really is something to see Abdul in person
*In Matt Yglesias voice*: "You know I would vote... for the charismatic candidate who's pushing left-leaning policies if they... Y'know... Just didn't have principles... Or let me just drone strike a few weddings... Or demonize trans people... Baby Yglesias wants his bigotry treats... gimme...
AES made a persuasive point that progressives should keep pushing in primaries: Haley Stevens is not “electable” if she requires $70 million in PAC spending to compete in a primary. The idea that we call these centrist corporate stooges electable is a joke. They have no organic support.

Why AIPAC could see its biggest defeat ever

I stood with local and state elected officials to say that we cannot approve any more AI data centers until we have federal guardrails to protect local communities like Saline Township from being run over by the likes of DTE, Oracle, and OpenAI.
Craig Brittain is absolutely an awful person that honestly should be in jail
Does everyone here know that @craigbrittain.com, who is currently masquerading as an anti-MAGA warrior, was fined in 2016 for operating a revenge porn website? A *lot* of y’all follow him. ⚠️ Marked as unsafe. ⚠️ www.ftc.gov/news-events/...
One of the things I find concerning about Haley Stevens is that this was what the “establishment” thought was a good campaign. Her dumbass would have lost the general had she actually spent her way to victory in the primary
All eyes on Michigan. Join us on Sunday for a night of games, community, and laughter to raise the resources we need to win! RSVP:

This is El Sayed’s quote where he allegedly called the Harris campaign “nauseating.” Like with his comments on Vance and the attacks on Iran, these seem to come from a very real, very personal place: the way people ignore the struggles of Brown-skinned people in North America.
i honestly want to talk to someone who thinks this is a bad thing to say
We launched 1-844-ABDUL-4-U (1-844-223-8548)... ...you called.
Every child in Michigan could have been fed with the money out-of-staters are using to try to buy our Primary election. Fucking ghouls.
