My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

Blue states pretty much finance the country. Blue cities in red states pretty much finance those states.
Trump: "The thing they should look at is blue states and blue cities. Cities run by Democrats. Because that's really the threat to the country. Because they're a disaster."
Tariffs have been incredible for corporations. They got to charge more for their products AND they get the refunds from the illegal tariffs. Isn't that neat??
FOX: What's your big message on the economy? TRUMP: Tariffs have been incredible

voting republican to pwn leftists on twitter
"actual communists" kind of implicitly granting prior accusations were in bad faith? (one might wonder what that says about the current accusations, ofc, but nevertheless.)
Bessent is fine with deficits to fight needless wars, it’s only deficits to pay for healthcare or education that bother him
BREAKING: Republicans are no longer worried about deficits and debt Bessent: "I'm not as bothered by it ... if '26 is flat to slightly up, this isn't wasteful social spending "
I truly do not understand some of the "discourse" on here in primary season. The whole point is to fight hard for the candidate you think best represents you and your values. Then we vote on it. And then, ideally, we make the best decision possible in the general to defeat MAGA.
My organization literally provided the bulk of infrastructural support for the Students for Harris program. Of course I think everyone should have voted for her.
Did “vote blue no matter who” apply to Harris?
There's literally the entire Constitution that gives you the powers to do so.
Cornyn: "There's nothing we could do to rein in the president"
The left: we want the Epstein files The right: we want the Epstein files The center: we want the Epstein files Trump: best I can do for you is Fauci’s diary, some lies about the reflecting pool, and a failed war in Iran
Narrator: It was not, in fact, paying down the debt, which keeps getting higher.
Bessent: "Here at the Treasury, I had $168 billion of tariff revenues that we're gonna have to refund. So when the Democrats scream, "Oh, the refunds should go back to the American people!', well, the American people had it, it was in the Treasury and it was paying down the debt."
"The sequence is deliberate. It asks candidates to build support across the coalition Democrats actually rely upon to win presidential elections." Listen, credit where its due, the DNC did a good thing. 1/
The New Road to the White House
The old calendar tested whether you could win the party nomination. The new calendar tests whether you can win the presidency too

Schiff: "This is someone who has violated his code of ethics blatantly, misled this committee, supported establishment of a fund for cop beaters, covered up docs implicating president in the Epstein files, use DOJ to enrich the president. Is this who we're prepared to confirm as AG? It appears so."
Besides being Trump's Roy Cohn and totally corrupt, Blanche is also determined to end all options for abortion. Next up, contraceptives. And they're voting him in.
@schiff.senate.gov on fire with a litany of reasons not to confirm Blanche. "he will only do what's best for Donald Trump. And you can't leave someone like that as highest federal law enforcement official" Here comes the vote: straight party lines, he's reported out of committee. ugggggghhhhhhhhh
Reminder that Blanche illegally withholding the Epstein Files was okay with Cornyn.
Cornyn justifies his support for Blanche: "That's one of those things that can't be remedied by a 'no' vote"
The news story about Donald Trump being desperate for immunity for tax fraud & the news story about Donald Trump being kicked to the curb by Capital One for widespread money laundering are RELATED.

This establishment Dem strategy of *checks notes* yelling at voters for choosing the candidate they feel best represents them and their values/interests is fucking WILD, y'all.
Does that mean Carville will be heading back to his home planet?
"Welcome to the Death Rattle of the Democratic Establishment" Here's a retirement party for James Carville, Bill Maher, & establishment hacks who are threatening to leave the Dem Party if progressives & Democratic Socialists continue winning elections. thelefthook.substack.com/p/welcome-th...
Where is the USA Today piece on tax payers subsidizing Walmart because they don't pay their employees enough to afford food or healthcare?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Vote Blue No Matter Who...Except That Progressive Candidate Who Takes on the Oligarchy and Opposes Israel's Genocide and is an A-RAB MOZLEM then!!!
Their coalition was a fragile one. There are fissures and larger cracks.
MAGA is raging at DHS Sec Markwayne Mullin for discussing immigration reform. But the real reason MAGA is so furious is he admitted immigration can be managed in a way that benefits our country. This is absolutely lethal to white nationalist ideology. New from me: newrepublic.com/article/2138...
Congrats again to the White House Correspondents Association!
Trump says Jeanine Pirro "choked" and then snaps at a reporter who asks if her job is safe: "Don't ever talk again"
New Yorkers had to subsidize the $117 million that the NYPD paid out for misconduct lawsuits in 2025 alone, even though most of them were never personally abused by a cop. Where's your worried op-ed on that one?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
But all that changed when the Cortisol Nation attacked
dopamine. oxytocin. adrenaline. cortisol. long ago, the four hormones lived together in harmony
Surely these can’t be connected? It’s almost as if letting idiots run your state’s health department, these kinds of things happen. Who would have predicted this? Everyone with a brain. #DV1 #ProudBlue #Voices4Victory #USDemocracy
