Izzzyzzz retrospective banger :) Like I told my friend: Huge pet peeve, when "art talk" goes viral, spills outside of creative circles, gets blown out of proportion, and people start sharing “opinions” just to seem edgy, but they're actually just speaking with zero nuance or context.

visa and mastercard deciding what games are allowed to be sold is an apocalyptic level threat to the games industry. phone calls are the highest impact way to help. this is an all hands on deck situation. the enemy got results with 1000 phone calls. we can beat them phone numbers and a script:
A beautiful kickstarter relevant to today (and always tbh). Really hope it gets to reach the stretch goals. Projects like this are so important. Narrative video games serve as such an effective medium to foster empathy. #fuckICE #immigrants
Haven't backed Take Us North yet? Pledge today to help us unlock stretch goals to include more characters and VO. Take Us North is rooted in research, and our work to humanize and share as many migrant stories as possible is more vital than ever. www.kickstarter.com/projects/tak... #GivingTuesday
The journey begins. Take Us North is a narrative-driven game inspired by real-world stories that follows the journeys of migrants and asylum seekers on their way to cross the US-Mexico border. Back it now on Kickstarter and help humanize migrant stories: www.kickstarter.com/projects/tak...

Old pic from 2015. Saw a pic from Japan (can’t remember where) and thought “What if there’s a giant in the fog?” So I slapped on a game model, magic wanded the shape, added 2 glowing eyes—poof! It took 10 mins and people seemed to dig it, which is a lesson to my ego about 'real' art vs 'quick' art.
Watching an older TV show where a character about to die says “But I’ll never know who wins Game of Thrones” and I just wanna reach through the screen and say “Don’t worry… it’s better this way.”
Sooooo beyond happy that Many Nights a Whisper is OUT NOW 💘 (find it on steam & itch hehe)
Two children, both American citizens, both suffering from cancer. A Buddhist activist who was taking his citizenship test. A 50-year resident of the state of Washington. Two 35-year residents of California. Lorde knows how many people fleeing a violent dictatorship.
A grandma who works at Target. An advocate for farmworkers. A cancer researcher. A grad student who wrote an op-ed. A hairdresser. A sheet metal worker and loving father to an autistic child. At least two people who took a wrong turn on the same bridge in Detroit. A toddler.
We were told that "The American Dream" was about every next generation "having it easier" than the previous one. That ended with Boomers, apparently.
Young people SHOULD “have it easier” than you did. I’m sorry you got the strap up hill both ways and paid your debts with pounds of flesh, but the reason we work for progress is to make growing up and growing old gentler, easier, kinder, freer. Struggle isn’t necessary in a healthy society.
I really really really need to work on my drawing speed. Tips appreciated 😭
