My group will give a platform presentation and a flash talk / poster at #ASHG26. Both presentations are related to the genetic basis and molecular mechanisms of circulating fatty acids. Looking forward to meeting new and old friends at this exciting conference soon! @geneticssociety.bsky.social

I am very excited to have Tom joining us! Look forward to witnessing the growth of the Sasani lab!
Excited to announce that I'll be joining the Department of Genetics at UGA (@universityofga.bsky.social) in January! My lab will use model systems, DNA sequencing, and new computational tools to study mutation rate evolution across the tree of life.
I just submitted an ASHG abstract and received a confirmation email. But I couldn’t see the submitted abstract in the portal. Anyone has a similar experience? @geneticssociety.bsky.social
We @uga_genetics are hiring a TT assistant professor in Human Genetics to investigate how genetic makeup influences an individual’s risks for diseases or responses to drugs and therapies. All research approaches will be considered. Please RT. ugajobsearch.com/postings/456597
We're excited to be recruiting an NIH funded postdoc to work in the Coop lab at UC Davis. We're specifically interested in candidates who are want to work at the intersection of human genetics, GWAS, and population genetics modeling. Please RT
Have to stay at home this year for a newborn baby. But the Ye lab is well-represented #ASHG25. Check out the posters from our 7 grad students!
TOPMed imputation server question: Does anyone know why there is a requirement for the input sample size to be at least 20? How do I impute a single genome? (Replicating the target genome 20 times leads to removal of all hom SNPs, as they become "monomorphic") Any better alternatives?
Staff scientist position (computational): I am looking for a computational scientist to join my genomics lab at Stanford. They should have an outstanding skillset in ML/statistical methods for genomic applications, postdoc experience and a strong publication record. #sciencejobs
It is a major PhD project of Yitang Sun. I am very excited to see this work out. I learned so much about the genetics of circulating fatty acids. This is a solid foundation for more research to come regarding gene-diet interactions for omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Super excited to witness this project coming to fruition! I was part of the initial pilot project that recruited ~60 participants. I can imagine the amount of work to recruit over 500 participants during the COVID years! Super impressed that @abarad.bsky.social and Kimberly got it done!
Huge thanks to @kcklatt.bsky.social for having us on the AJCN 🎙️ to chat about the FeGenes study! Stay tuned for our next paper on the genetics of Fe absorption in this cohort, in collaboration with @yekaixiong.bsky.social. Exciting steps towards precision nutrition! open.spotify.com/episode/091s...
Grad to share the first paper from grad student, Adanna! (Very happy to share this on Bluesky!)
📣New from @yekaixiong.bsky.social & co! 📄A multi-level gene-diet interaction analysis of fish oil and 14 polyunsaturated fatty acid traits identifies the FADS and GRP12 loci bit.ly/3HlYC99
