My etsy shop is closed for the time being, but don’t fret! My ACGGoods shop is open! I added new things and going to add a bit more stuff to the later half of this year. If you like to support me, check it out sometime! acggoods.com/store/yieldi... #ACGGoods
Lrt where i am rn. Comics is hard, but worth it work.
How comics actually work: some pages take an hour and some pages take eight hours and they're not always the ones you'd think. There are sometimes entire weeks taken up by research that MUST be completed before you can progress. And you also must account for several days lost to the Horrors
Newsletter for August is up on my patreon! www.patreon.com/yieldingtide... Also a blog post about creativity and how I’m going about with it as general advice? blog.yieldingtides.com/2026/07/25/t...

I realize I can update character relationships on art fight? Revolutionary. Updated both Marius and Rhea and eventually the rest of my characters on site. But can't wait to show more about these two soonish lol.

Happy 4th of July! Here's an unrelated image!
I'm joining artfight for...a wee bit. Not much like full-blown attacks but as a breather from my project work. If you like to follow and attack me, I'll try to get back to you. But gonna try to look around and find cool folks to attack! artfight.net/~YTN/charact...

I forgot to mention the panel event I did yesterday! It was so good. Will be writing a blog post about in either today or before the end of June!
Upcoming events for June! If you're local in the GR area, come see me sometime! More info on the first one sometime the week before! :D
Wacom doing planned obsolescence with a "Thank you for your support" on their staggeringly overpriced products wasn't on my bingo card but I am UNSURPRISED. If you too are in this position, allow me to draw your attention to what's probably your best solution: opentabletdriver.net
So Wacom finally decided to pull the plug on my Cintiq 13HD. Kind of a barbaric move but I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to ensure continued support, either through a plugin or something of a similar vein. Any input would be appreciated.
It's amazing how much a project can speed along once you have all the blueprints in order. Or rather, knowing your entire layout before speeding through comic pages. I'm very excited to get RED SNARE 's next issue on the roller. It's gonna be good.
Reminder - Webcomics mostly survive off word of mouth. If you enjoy something then talk about it or recommend it to people. I know we're in an age where rage drives clicks so maybe try to help a creator out by talking about their work.
Something I drew after beating Requiem. Still baffled I was able to beat most of my quest understanding Leon Kennedy for a few months. Might go back and try to play RE6 to get another context of the full picture... Color Pencil and Micron on toned paper.
One thing about “breaking into comics” is that unless you mean “I want to be so famous I never need to look for a gif and/or have full autonomy to do whatever I want and be paid for it,” you can do it right now. Just draw a comic and print it out. Get a table at a small local comic fest.
One thing about "breaking into comics" that I think a lot of creators need to process is that unless you mean is "I want to be so famous I never need to look for a gig and/or have full autonomy to do whatever I want and be paid for it" then it's a myth. It's always going to be a freelance hustle.
People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.
Hey y'all my etsy shop is open as well! Till July 30, US peeps can snag my newest stuff. International peeps, I'm figuring out ways to send out my comics and zines outside US shores, but till then will update my ACGgoods with my newest stuff soonish! www.etsy.com/shop/yieldin...

LRT As a person who works in education, the tech kids are working with are totes more overwhelming compared to a decade ago. I've seen and heard accounts from students who struggle writing paragraphs on paper because they dont have the hand eye coordination. It's a different ball park.
I feel like schools are getting a wake-up call on how much screens and digital tools have affected learning. It doesn’t feel like a coincidence this is picking up just as tech companies go hard on trying to get schools to adopt generative AI. Great to dig into it with @tommullaney.bsky.social!
Chatbots are showing up everywhere and schools are no exception. But should we really be letting tech companies push AI on students? @tommullaney.bsky.social joins @parismarx.com to discuss the drawbacks of AI in schools and the broader pushback to screens. Full ep: techwontsave.us/episode/330_...
Genuinely, this concern about AI is one of the reasons why I think having friction in video games is good and why it's increasingly important to have games that simply exist instead of catering to our expectations. Reposting this message from Kojima about "pre-digested" art:
“The Al is not just telling you what you want to hear. It is training you, one conversation at a time, to need less friction, expect more agreement, and become slightly less capable of handling a situation where someone pushes back on you”
This is the fastest I've gotten with finishing a game with such a self-imposed challenge, but completed requiem to the end... I have so many thoughts. Also, good material for future zine related stuff as well. Kinda crazy how that worked out. #RE9
So, I've been taking my time playing RE2 OG. And man. Took me a while to get used to tank controls but I'm enjoying it so far. There's cheese with the dialog but there's the moments where I have to sit with the dread. Very lovely.
