A weathered tree stump stands at the centre of a lush Irish grass field, its rough, broken form telling the story of many years spent facing the elements.

The top of the stump has rotted away, leaving a deep hollow surrounded by jagged splinters of wood that rise like the crumbling walls of an ancient fortress.

Shades of pale cream, honey brown, and soft grey reveal layers of decaying timber, while patches of moss and lichen hint at the slow work of nature reclaiming it.
