I am the centrist final boss Give me electoralism or give me death Capitalism is fine and you're all baby children Sworn enemy of Gwyneth Paltrow

the only people who could ever earnestly support means testing are people who've never had to be means tested before. it is a humiliating, dehumanizing bureaucratic hostage negotiation with a system whose primary purpose is to *not* provide financial support as often as humanly possible

The Seattle City Council just voted 6-3 to approve Joy Hollingsworth's amendment to delay universal school lunches for kids, replacing them with vouchers for qualifying low-income parents to buy groceries over school breaks and weekends. Eddie Lin, Alexis Mercedes Rinck, and Rob Saka voted no.

Badempanada if Graham Platner was running as a Republican: "I think we should just let him ZOG. People are finally waking up about Israel. I don't care if he's a Nazi, because it means Americans will get what they deserve."

We can no more go back to the country we were in 2017, before all these clowns decided they could and should behave as badly as they want, without limits, than we can now undestroy the Gaza Strip or resurrect tens of thousands of dead civilians. The damage is permanent and irreparable.

We could get apologies daily for the next year and we’ll still live in a country where the political class and the press united for a decade to tell the public, in the most insanely intense fashion, that the far right’s craziest and most inflammatory accusations against the left are correct and true

You can choose whether to forgive these people, but you can’t now live in a version of Britain where the main left party and our horrific media class *did not* collaborate for a decade on demonising the anti-racist and anti-austerity movements, and then defended the destruction of the Gaza Strip.

Absolutely essential apology.
Starmer's moral failure on Gaza was his single most destructive act for the party and its voters.

Andy Burnham apologies for Labour's stance on Gaza and says it 'didn't get it right

A very Liberal attitude to elections I often see is not bothering to try at all if they can't win first try. It leads to them acting very hostile to any smaller, more radical party for "splitting the vote".

"people online calling me a nazi made me into a nazi! You're just alienating people from your cause!" You joined a genocidal party because people called you out on genocidal beliefs? Either you're really suggestable or this was bound to happen anyway. Either way you're better Dead than Red.

I hope nobody ever figures out my terrible secret. The one that would ruin my life should anyone ever hear a whisper. The horrible rot within, the bloodless evil that lurks inside my soul, apparent to anyone who looks too deeply into my eyes. Now let me go on TV as much as physically possible

so many fucking "leftists" on here can understand the idea that cheering for israel would be wrong or that they shouldn't be competing in the first place but suddenly think that it's unfair collective punishment to say the same about the US
