This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

We cannot accept the reckless use of deadly force by federal agents as normal. There is a pattern of this administration misleading the public and withholding key facts after these killings.

Of course policy & systemic solutions are what’s needed most, but some of the most powerful climate actions you can do as an individual are switching to solar/electrifying everything you can, minimizing your food waste, and eating more plants & fewer animal-based foods (especially beef & lamb).

What *actually* works — right here, right now — to address climate change? Here you go. This is the result of thousands of hours of painstaking research and analysis from the Project Drawdown team.

Someone please mash up Narcissus and the Portrait of Dorian Gray into the tale a demented man who thought to see his own magnificence reflected in, well, a Reflecting Pool and instead saw failure and algae and decay.

Do you live in one of these states? If so, you’ve got a primary TOMORROW! If you’re disgusted by today’s political climate, DO YOUR JOB and USE YOUR VOICE AT THE BALLOT BOX! Be the change.

Stephen Miller’s pathological hatred of immigrants has made stupidity and cruelty official policy across every department of the federal government. “Only American citizens and green card holders can be airport janitors” is ridiculous. This man legally worked there for almost 30 years!

But last summer, Ms. Molina, 65, was abruptly fired from her $19.75-per-hour cleaning job, alongside dozens of other immigrants who have long legally worked at Logan. Her supervisor told her she no longer had clearance to enter secure areas at the airport. The Trump administration had decided that only U.S. citizens, green card holders and others with more permanent forms of residency should be granted access, according to a lawsuit that a labor union filed in federal court.
"I didn't understand what was going on," said Ms. Molina, who has been living legally in the United States under Temporary Protected Status, a humanitarian program that shelters people from troubled countries until they can safely return home. "I had worked hard at my job. This news put me in a state of shock."

This story opens with an account of a Salvadoran on temporary protective status who scrubbed Logan Airport bathrooms for nearly 30 yrs but just got fired because of a Stephen Miller initiative. Somehow reminds me of that tweet that got @terrymoran.bsky.social fired. www.nytimes.com/2026/05/30/u...
