Im designing a tool that use AI to flag when someone is taking someone else out of context. Misquotes, uncharitable interpretations, inaccurate recontextualizations… maybe this should be a bluesky labeler…
Like social media manipulation does mean that: — voters got false information about candidates — bad actors encouraged people not to vote — anonymity protects but is also a vehicle for disinformation That’s just how the thing is now! Online trust is tenuous/damaged! Them’s the breaks
People on this app get really angry every time I point out that social media manipulation is a real phenomenon that we are all stewing in and that’s having real world consequences and I’m sure part of that is engagement farmers who do that manipulation not liking people talking about it

I should start a circle for Type A Black women who were raised to be perfectionists and star students and be twice as good only to meet this political moment and find out that none of that mattered. Now we're committed to paying rent, romanticizing our lives, and being a bit delusional.
