a longtime industry vet, I make games and lead design teams, and am looking for my next opportunity. Check out my rarely updated blog at http://www.zenofdesign.com I'm a white cis straight male (he/him), an ally albeit an occasionally imperfect one.

Okay, I'll be more straightforward. PLEASE GO LISTEN TO THIS AND GIVE SOME SORT OF FEEDBACK. Like all creative people, my creative spirit requires some kind of audience for sustenance. First 10 people to comment will get... uh... some really appreciative comments in return.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, this one kind of came out rocking. If the music genre 'sleazy folk rock' sounds at all appealing to you, listen to this and tell me what you think

Going to the dentist today is like stepping into a sci-fi movie compared to going to the dentist when I was a kid. Their ability to find problems, fix them quickly and even do things like mold replacement teeth on site are like magic compared to 30-40 years ago.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

RFKJr claims Lyme disease was created by scientists, which is the closest he’s come to admitting that science exists. Meanwhile, Ötzi the Iceman, who died more than 5.3K years ago, had Lyme disease. Apparently prehistoric humans are part of the conspiracy. Get me off this timeline

There was a huge momentous change in music in 1991, but because that's the year I went to college, my brain remembers it as "All my high school friends liked Guns n Roses and Motley Crue and all my college friends liked Jane's Addiction and Nirvana."

Sometimes when I'm stuck songwriting a line, I use Claude to help. Mostly, I end up going 'god no, that's fucking horrible' but sometimes it does successfully break the logjam.
