You can be like “I like K-Pop music” and you get told you should date an Asian man, WHAT?! Are you okay?
I don’t understand why we can’t unpack the weirdness people have with Black K-Pop/C-Pop/J-Pop fans and projecting on them for understanding their favorites or talking to their idols in these Asian industry.
I feel like some people may not see us black fans who talk about this constantly, not only to K-Pop, C-Pop, J-Pop as well. There’s so many nuances we know that happens in Black culture in Asian music that prevalent to this day. Not going to ignore that.
I don't get the appeal. They copy the choreography, mannerisms, style (swagger), and singing style, even the Motown music group finishing school methods. Yet it's rarely mentioned.
