As a white woman, I was repeatedly denied a hysterectomy despite having life threatening bleeding that put me in hospital every month. Black and indigenous women are still sterilized against their will. Or “mistakes” like this happen. Racism is rampant in healthcare. apnews.com/article/labe...

You know it's nice to use the guillotine as a symbol, but when you make one you should know the real thing was over 12 feet tall and it really helps with its aura.

I will say one thing, that it may feel like no one who transitioned in the 80s and 90s are around in modern online trans communities, they do exist. I am friends with a few, my first trans people I met in the 90s are among them. They aren't all gone. But this actually pivots into another thing.

I actually don’t know anyone personally who transitioned in the 80s or 90s at all. Maybe a few figures in the communities I’ve lived, but I have literally 0 access otherwise. An event horizon type lost generation

Every single one of these makes the climate transition more difficult, and makes the public-led transition more important if you care at all about living on this planet peacefully.

1st: Shut up. Just stop. You don't speak for us, don't deign to. 2nd: You're not entitled to answers about our bodies. 3rd: Allyship is a set of actions, not a title. 4th: It's not about you. 5th: And this is really the most important, DO NOT attempt to lecture us about our political situation.

If you, a cis person, are beginning to notice the trans people in your life, whether online or IRL, becoming more cynical, bitter, prickly or difficult to communicate with, but you don't know why? It's because you have a severe blindspot to our suffering. But I can help you figure out what it is:
