My neighbor built a functioning 311 app in a matter of hours while it took OUC more than 6 weeks to fix their broken app. Throughout this process, OUC has been more interested in protecting themselves than learning from his app.

I served as a Commissioner for 2 terms. It was such a joy to meet neighbors, help them solve problems, connect with neighborhood businesses, and serve my community. We won more housing and even an 14th St express bus. If you decide to serve, I hope it'll be as meaningful for you as it was for me.

@janeese4dc.bsky.social was strongest in high density areas (especially Ward 1), which show up smaller on geographic maps than their actual importance. I made a cartogram that scales each precinct by its actual vote total:
yellow map: areas where McDuffie did better. blue map: wealthy R-1-A and R-1-B zones that have only allowed detached housing for ~100 years

There is only one mayoral candidate who is being supported by dark money: @kenyanmcduffie.bsky.social Where did the $650k come from? Was it from Republicans? Well-connected insiders? People who benefited from the Intralot scam? Unfortunately, we'll never know. That's the problem with dark money.

Most of its funding ($650k) comes from a dark money group. $100k from realtors group. Also: Nats owner, developers.
Being elected requires showing up. I have worked alongside neighbors, community leaders, agencies, and organizations to solve problems together. By staying active in our neighborhoods and listening directly to residents, we can build solutions that reflect the needs of each community.
Big ups to DC's Board of Elections for deploying a ballot tracking system that builds confidence through great communication. I dropped my ballot off at my local library dropbox on Sunday and less than 24 hours later got a text that it was accepted. Voting by dropbox is fast, easy, and secure!
Def go vote and watch this super adorable (Pierce!) and hopeful video. If you received your ballot in the mail, I highly suggest filling it out and dropping in a drop box. It'll be much faster and less confusing than doing a computer ballot at the polling place.

I agree with Salah Czapary — a government that works is one that can tackle both the big issues and the small, everyday ones. For me, putting people first means delivering a government that gets things done for Washingtonians in all eight wards, no matter how big or small.

Jeff Wall argued some horrific cases, defending the Muslim ban, winning a key victory on the path to ending Roe, and removing the Director of the cfpb, a key step in dismantling it. Those supporting KRM chose to be on the same team as Trump's prior top lawyer and Republican mega bundlers.
