This Thursday’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with GABI (the Great American Biotic Interchange). I was entrusted with designing several animals including the gigantic ground sloth Eremotherium eomigrans. I am really fond of ground sloths and I love reconstructing them! #paleoart #SurvivungEarth

I _did not_ appreciate Mahler making me jump out of my skin with the final orchestral crash of _Das klagende Lied_ as I was carefully touching up the beak. That could have gone so very wrong indeed. 😬😅 (The head without the frill is about 4cm long.)

A juvenile Diplodocus is slipping out post-bedtime for a late #FossilFriday post. Like other Mesozoic dinosaurs, young diplodocids were proportioned differently than adults, bearing shorter necks, faces and tails. The mottled skin pattern is based on (very tentative) palaeocolour data. #paleoart
Updated some old #paleoart of Pelorosaurus for an upcoming project. The first versions of this image scarily date to 2013 and 2015. Pelorosaurus is an Early Cretaceous British titanosauriform, but we don't know much about its proportions or appearance. Silhouettes FTW! #sciart #fossil #paleontology
