The OMB rule would codify this uncertainty, making termination a constant threat to all federally funded science. Your field might be safe now, but this rule would allow the admin to stop any line of research that becomes politically inconvenient. Posting below resources on where/how to comment.

Many struggled to find work, with about 40 percent searching for at least six months.
