Hey! Unfortunately, with my first job in the games industry, I have been hit with layoffs at That's No Moon. Hit me up if there's any environment art positions open remotely or in LA! I'm gonna go back to personal projects and playing cyberpunk probably 👍

Yo it’s my birthday today!! Treating myself to donuts and art supplies and pool time. Did you know I’ve kinda opened an online store for my traditional art and jewelry work? I’d really love if you gave my new art insta a follow! www.instagram.com/brassbriar Shop link is in the bio!
6 yr old: what’s that country called? Me: Switzerland 6 yr old: sweatserland? So you sweat a lot there?
my belief is that at the end of the day, great games are made by groups of people who have high trust with each other & can fluidly execute a shared vision. which is a small part of why these layoffs are so devastating- it's not just about jobs, it's about these "trust structures" being torn apart.
Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.
How does anyone stay motivated when you see good people lose their job over poor leadership decisions. Working hard literally guarantees you nothing now in this industry.
Bungie folks impacted by the layoffs: please let me know if you see anything on our careers page that is a fit for you. I will gladly help with application advice and recommendations: www.cdprojektred.com/en/jobs

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!
Going to start a thread of all the areas I worked on for Marathon <3 <3 first up: bioresearch #MarathonTheGame #Marathon
Sometimes a few failed projects can turn into a successful one
Game failure? Layoffs Game success? Layoffs Game delayed? Layoffs Game delivered? Layoffs Game announced? Layoffs Game unannounced? Layoffs Game good? Layoffs Game bad? Layoffs Game AI? Layoffs Game no-AI? Layoffs Game hated? Layoffs Game beloved? Layoffs Money cares more for layoffs than games.
I loved South of Midnight, and it's horrible that Compulsion Games and the talent within may no longer be together. www.ign.com/articles/mic...

Midnight (& Hazel) wouldn't have been what it was - an authentically, unapologetically Southern & Black story handled with love + care - without writers like @zeestermeester.bsky.social & @epistellar.bsky.social. I can't even begin to tell you how incredible these two are. Support them. Hire them.
If anyone is looking to hire a Peabody and BAFTA winning senior writer, I am looking for work. I’ve got six years experience in games. Everything from indie to AAA. I am not married to staying in games. I am hoping to relocate to the Bay Area. I am keeping my ears to the ground.
Slowly, slowly forcing myself to paint foliage more. Now kinda doing it just for fun! #art #studies #environment
And I’m going to say it’s done even though I still need to drill some holes for bolts to hold the two half’s together but it’s basically finished now. Was about 4 days work and hope is I’ll get faster with that with the next build. #woodworking
Can finally share some of the photos I took in Morocco during one of our scan trips for Crossfire. One of the most stunningly beautiful places I've ever visited, and filled with the kindest, most welcoming people I've ever met.
For the last 2.5 years, I've been working on Crossfire with the unbelievably gifted folks at @thatsnomoon.com. Very excited for you to meet our single-player story's unlikely allies, Layla Qassem and Delroy Cross. Trailer: youtu.be/mt400rdovIg
I wanted to share some stills from the amazing announcement of Crossfire yesterday at Summer's Games Fest! www.artstation.com/artwork/a0KZ0z
