Last but not the least, the unsubstantiated and hyped promises of AI are providing political cover for defunding our public services. Instead of funding our nurses and teachers, we are redirecting those funds to AI industry whose response to the public's material needs: "Let them eat chatbots!" 20/

Kotaku parading that garbage "recompilation" Generation 1 Pokémon project is genuinely upsetting. I was hoping the communities would reject vibe coded garbage, but these people are now intentionally hiding the usage and even lying that it's hand-written to peddle their slop onto others.
I remember when someone turned Cyanide & Happiness comics into NFTs and a bunch of wackadoodles bought them without even checking if it was real. When it turned out it was a scam they turned their anger towards the C&H comic creators who promptly responded:
