This is 💯 not true. It is never a choice between ‘taking big tech’s money and doing nothing’. A stronger moral imperative is NOT to take the money and the strings attached to it - particularly if you do not and cannot yet understand the implications

“Teaching educators about AI is a ‘moral imperative’, said Randi Weingarten, the AFT president.” “And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tech’s money or doing nothing, she said.”

Amazing reporting from @breachmedia.ca Canadian universities running a secret surveillance network, keeping tabs on students opposing genocide Vile The top brass of all these institutions should apologize & resign immediately #cdnpoli

New reporting from @breachmedia.ca shows that Canadian universities operated a secret national effort to coordinate surveillance and policing of anti-genocide activism and encampments. breachmedia.ca/canadian-uni...

"....in Alberta, the secretly-coordinated effort, which would culminate in militarized raids at multiple universities, would involve not just police but also an official from Danielle Smith’s UCP government."

A new investigation by @drugdatadecoded.ca and David Slater reveals how universities in Canada coordinated to spy on and violently remove their students’ anti-genocide encampments. Then, they denied the existence of records, delayed their release, and deleted chats. breachmedia.ca/canadian-uni...

I went to the encampments at UBC to deliver supplies and interview the students and they were incredible brave and articulate on the subject. Willing to risk everything to do whatever they could to try and stop the genocide. Disgraceful they would be treated like criminals

Many platforms are more afraid of being called woke than they are afraid of letting nazis in. The truth is that no one likes hanging out with nazis, not even nazis. If you give them Twitter and everyone else leaves, they would still not be happy. They will then want to go where everyone else is.

Yep. One of the most disgusting things about the US is that at most points in US history, white people could insult other white people, just by suggesting that they care about other people. So white folk deny it. "I'm not an n-word lover, but..." "I'm not PC, but.." "I'm not woke, but..." 🤷🏿‍♂️

Once again for those at the back: ‘Don’t speak ill of the dead’ is about your great aunt Elsie, who liked a long gin with a short tonic at elevenses, and blew your inheritance money betting on the horses. Speaking ill of absolute monsters is a moral obligation, actually.

No one is going to give the education you need to overthrow them. Nobody is going to teach you your true history, teach you your true heroes, if they know that knowledge will help set you free. – Assata Shakur
