I know a Woman who's a Breast Cancer survivor and was assigned an Immigrant Doctor who recommended She quit smoking, She decided the Doctor didn't know anything and ended up with no Doctor after She caused a scene, looks good on Her
You don’t get to demand your doctor be a certain race. You don’t get to put your racism proudly on display in healthcare settings. You don’t get to demean an entire group of people and then expect them to save your life.
The rental e bikes and scooters are placed enticingly along highway style roads in my neighborhood. I get the concern, but inevitably youth are going to stick to sidewalks. Protection isn't just about a helmet Reallocate road space, do equity
Want to be a Micromobility MVP? Ride e-bikes and e-scooters where you’re supposed to (never on a sidewalk), wear a helmet and park responsibly. Learn more at: halifax.ca/SharedMicromobility
I'm just so fucking tired of people being like "no, the free market is working!" and then ignoring all the ways that we don't actually have a free market and our markets are owned by like, twenty men in trench coats.

It’s called the Maritimes because sometimes the air and the ocean get mixed up about which is which.
The end goal is to ban girls playing sports. Hey Canada, don’t fall for this horseshit when your local politician starts demanding inspections.
Demanding to examine a child's genitals for them to play sports is fucking insane
Poilievre’s image problem is getting worse. And Avi Lewis has brought the NDP back to life.

Barrington, Spring Garden, Quinpool, Gottingen, etc I think a lot about how these streets are trying to be all the things to all the road users; pedestrian- friendly, transit-oriented, while moving traffic and sometimes commercial truck traffic. It leads to sort of failing at all of it.
I really like Halifax but they have got to figure out what barrington st is going to be. Right now it’s the main pedestrian drag (other than waterfront), main arterial for cars, and the main route for all of the buses. It only has 2 Lanes downtown and it’s a big ole mess
