honestly this place sucks anyway. been tryna make it happen but it just doesn’t have the features (wowww we JUST got saved posts 🙄) and it doesn’t have the userbase and it’s been too long waiting for it to improve. they clearly don’t want to do better and would rather we leave them alone huh? byeeee

We knew from the start we can’t get everything right. Moderation is a hard problem, and it’s impossible to please everyone. So we built a protocol where you always have the right to leave. If you don’t trust us, or don’t like our decisions, you deserve the right to choose an alternative.

Particularly, the fact that Gretchen Falker-Martin's account remains suspended at the same time as her work is being pulled in what amounts to cowardly retaliation on behalf of fascists is incredibly, incredibly shameful and just makes @jay.bsky.team et al look like the collaborators they are

Like I’m pretty sure even when a creator gets outed as a sex beast publishers tend to quietly let the remaining issues of the series they’ve commissioned roll out before cutting ties. Trying to recall the last time I saw such a sharp and immediate severing, especially over a social media post.

I don't think that Gretchen Felker-Martin was advocating for violence but rather strongly expressing relief at knowing that Kirk could no longer be actively encouraging his bigoted fear and hatred. In that light, I hope that DC comics reconsiders their decision to cancel the Red Hood.

It’s an absolute shame that DC fired Gretchen Felker- Martin for exercising free speech and then @bsky.app suspended her account. Every writer here should be decrying this because we have to stand up for each other! This is ridiculous.
