A Minnesota man who squirted vinegar on Democratic U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar was sentenced to one year and two months in prison on Thursday after pleading guilty to assaulting a federal official.

The only correct way to "triangulate" your position with trans people (or any marginalized group) is that "I don't understand everything about this or what these folks go through every day but nobody should be discriminated against or deprived of their constitutionally protected basic human rights"

If you abandon trans people, why should I reasonably expect that you won't abandon another vulnerable group or actively work to marginalize people like me because you want to placate your donors and "reach out to the other side of the aisle" that's agitating for televised pogroms?

A thought exercise for transphobic Democrats: replace the "transgender" with "Jewish" in the ads and notice how uncomfortable you suddenly get. There is slightly more trans people in the U.S. (0.95%) than German Jews (0.75%) before the Holocaust. Can't you see how dangerous your slippery slope is?
