Homelessness: build housing Poverty: UBI, living wages Poison drug supply: regulated supply Carceral state: take money from cops to pay for the above Wealth disparity: aggressive progressive tax rates Corporate misbehaviour: hold board members legally accountable

It’s no longer about Trump being a disgrace. We are the disgrace. Not just collectively. Individually. We are disgracing ourselves every day we take no action to remove him. No decent people would tolerate him or his cruel, corrupt, lawless regime lasting as long as it has.

Capitalism’s greatest trick was the creation of the middle class to act as a buffer between the lower and higher classes. And since the possibility of ascendance is baked into the middle-class charter they will always argue on behalf of the higher class, which they see as their future selves.

USA hasn't any allies. Not even Israel. They're laughing. USA is fighting their wars, for them. They came right out and said so, directly after the House voted to blend both military forces. Ukraine, after this war... I expect will never help the USA with anything, ever again. You abandoned them.💯

Periodic reminder that Ukraine is one of our best allies. Between the intelligence sharing, capability sharing (drones, counter drone systems), and the fact they’re degrading the capability of one of our primary adversaries, anyone rooting against them looks even dumber now.

I don't think most Americans have internalized yet how permanent the relational damage is. No, Canada can't trade haymakers with the Trump administration (or any US administration) in a trade war. But can we bleed a few key sectors out, slowly but relentlessly? We might have to try.

Alberta hasn't banned US alcohol imports. People here aren't buying it anyways. The debate over whether provincial governments should be banning it misses the actual point, which is that Canadians don't want to buy it in the first place. #cdnpoli

That other people would naturally love them and want to be like them is the only context most Americans understand. But I’m beginning to think anger is the wrong approach, simply because they’re okay with it. They don’t mind. It’s apathy they can’t stand. And I for one simply don’t care anymore.

If anything that anger we supposedly have just reenforces a dependency that has not worked for us for a very long time. This is not a lover’s quarrel, we’ve long since broke up. It’s well past time everyone admits it & we start seeing other countries.

That @CNN journalist are so astonished by the overwhelming percentage of Canadians who are angry at America, is evidence of the lack of awareness they have of the world outside their borders The US has been attacking us for 2years! Insulting us! Did they really think Canada would love the US?

Absolutely 💯 Tax Them…. NEW: Over the World Cup final weekend, ~3,000 private jets flew in and out of the NY area. On the last day, private jet CO2 in the area doubled its 5-year norm(!). Private jets are the most carbon-intensive form of travel. Tax them.
