The increase in significant psychological distress over the last few years shows how many people were just getting by, just holding on before. Then systemic disintegration has tipped people over the edge. What if our society enabled all of us to live decent lives, rather than 'just getting by'.

At 36 years old, it's lived more than five times longer than the species' average lifespan. First ringed in 1990, it's still out there doing Avocet things. Go on Avocet. 😍
