They can be assistive technologies, help with mental load, and allow you to focus more on the present than an endless stream of tasks or your phone.

And for the really bad news? They've put a target on VPNs. Sites are required to identify (and age-verify) any US citizen, regardless of whether they're using a VPN. In fact, the default is to get the ID and biometrics of EVERYONE unless you can somehow prove their not a US citizen.

Bluesky absolutely can expand outside of a specific slice of American Politics in pretty straightforward ways. Like Twitter is still aggressively used in Japan and that's a good place to start chipping away. Entire industries. Getting sports posters on here has made the site more engaging.
Honestly, at this point saying "read my substack" is like saying "follow me on X" which is just an automatic no.
