Never forget, you can double the number of people in a pedestrian street or people-place in two different ways — by doubling the number of people who come (which is harder), or by doubling the length of time that people stay (easier, but we too often get this wrong). Make streets magnetic places.

We have a local friend who moved here recently to live car-lite. She was new to the cargo bike world, but jumped in head first. She's maxing out the utility and doing it all with 3 kids. "But we have kids" isn't the barrier. It's almost always your hostile local infrastructure design.
