#FantasyIndiesAugust 3 Show us your book covers! Here are a few of mine. Artwork for Exile (and The Caein Legacy series), War of the Nameless (and the Relics of War series), and Hunted is the work of Jamie Noble. Artwork for Wraith and the Revolution is from J. Caleb Design.

This map I illustrated of The Old Town is from my ongoing post-apocalyptic fantasy series, Copper & Ash. In book 1, the world has been consumed by deadly mists, kept at by by machines along the walls. The people who live are doing well all things considered. Just don't touch the mists #Cartaugust ๐Ÿช๐Ÿ“š

Hey hey everyone, welcome to our awesome new map game! We're here to celebrate our love for fictional maps all month long! Before we start poring over details, let's start with the basics: tell us who you are and a little bit about your world. And don't forget to share your map! #Cartaugust ๐Ÿช ๐Ÿ“š๏ธ

The background is an image of maps on a rack heavily colored by sepia.

Introduce us to yourself and your world. Don't be shy, share your map! What's it called? Who created the art?
**Don't forget the alt text. I know it's hard to know what to inlcide with images that are really info-dense, but do your best.

Spent the morning finalizing a few things for an upcoming book & prepping it all for a test print. If nothing goes horribly wrong I'll send pics after they arrive. ๐Ÿคž

Hi #CartAugust. Iโ€™m Iseult. Iโ€™m a multi genre speculative fiction author. Hereโ€™s the beautiful map of Ember town, illustrated by @adamcbassett.com. Itโ€™s for my upcoming fantasy novel, The Wolf in the Lantern. Ember is an isolated town, protected from the monsters by a wall of flames.

Map of Ember, a town protected by a wall of living fire.

Quick editing update on Copper & Ash book 2: I've gotten to the 70% (ish) point on this draft. Getting close to sending it out to beta readers and revealing some news publicly. I'm also working on some art for the book myself. Still a WIP but book 2 has two maps. Feel free to speculate on why. :)

One of the most common questions I get asked is: "What inspired your books?" Music is often a piece of the puzzle! In fact, CSOL wouldn't even exist if I hadn't listened to Tautumeitas. Here are a few albums that inspired my fiction. Check them out! (And don't forget to check out the books too ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Music that inspired the DIGITAL EXTREMITIES series: NINA, The Midnight, Danger, and Zombie Hyperdrive.Music that inspired the Copper & Ash series: Tautumeitas, Go_A, Jerry Heil, and Vesna.
