this is the really ineffective head-in-the-sand reaction a lot of folks on Bluesky tend to have if you talk about any harm reduction-based approach to the reality that millions of people are using AI tools today. The current approach to critiquing AI is obviously not working, but they don't care.

I'm terrible at updating you all on conservation and ecology work, but I can promise you this: It is the biggest year for Irish camera trapping since records began, and it's not even close. Why is this important? With this data, we can guide management and learn more about Irish nature.

Deer, seals, the whole bunch... People will willfully ignore signage and instructions for a photo. This is also wildlife crime. The only thing for it is wardens, fines, and a culture of shaming those who believe they should be allowed to approach, feed, or pick up wildlife for fun.
