For the first time, Ireland generated more electricity from renewable sources than fossil fuels in the first half of the year 🍃 The chart below makes the trend clear. Will 2026 be the first year with majority clean energy? We at Green Collective hope to be the first to report it!
Burning fossil fuels makes wildfires more frequent and more intense. Of course those who have made record profits causing the problem should pick up the bill.

There’s been a significant pollution incident on the Tolka river. Grey brown effluent in the water and brown scum on the surface. I took these pics in the section between Blanch and Corduff but hearing there are dead fish in the river closer to Damastown.
