dems have a unifying message going into the midterms and it’s fuck haley stevens
With all my heart I hope Talarico wins, but this kind of thing has to stop; it is one of the reasons so many Democratic voters hate the Democratic party. And it's not a Talarico problem; it's a Democratic consultant-class problem.

I'm biased, of course, but I tend to agree with Tom. The Lot 49 appearance, where I'll be in convo with Tom, will be especially fun. Come out and say hi!
Hey folks, if you also like great books and great writing and, furthermore, can tolerate me: next week (10/12) at 6 PM, I'm doing an event with @adamoprice.bsky.social at Lot 49 in Fishtown. Adam is also reading at Rutgers-Camden the next night at 6 PM. You should come to one of these.

honestly pretty fucked up, when someone asks to be let into your home, to say, "not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin"
Just read “Objects of Desire,” the first short story collection from @adamoprice.bsky.social, and it’s truly great; “Sandstorm“ and “Dancing With Berg Hermly” are my favorites. You will certainly not regret buying a copy of “Objects of Desire,” by Adam O’Fallon Price!

As a professor who is loudly, vocally anti-AI and who doesn’t allow it in my classroom in any form, I cannot overstate how much students dislike it and how relieved they are to have a space in their day without it
From their perspective, if A.I. isn't going to get them a good job (and the A.I. narrative is boasting about eliminating good jobs) then college should at least match their idea of what it used to be -- personal, inspiring, chats on the quad, experiences. Then their class is all about tech.
There should be Yelp/Goodreads reviews but for people. Like you meet some dude at a work event who talks for twenty minutes about his fantasy football team, and you look him up and see he has 1500 ratings and a 2.4 average
