Understand that the Billionaire class is just absolutely furious that even being that rich doesn’t mean they can own people. It explains so much of their obsessions, from driverless cars and AI to zero hours contracts and migration paranoia.

our entire global financial system is currently leveraged to the hilt on the premise that it was good and right for a small cadre of US companies to steal all of the intellectual work ever produced by humanity and sell its back to us without credit or remuneration to the authors (plagiarism)

The only conversation worth having is how Black people are overpoliced & over-punished & held to different standards in all aspects of life. That there is an outrage when Black people transgress that isn’t there when their non-Black counterparts do.

people shouldnt overreact negatively to the Emily Wilson review, it's right there in the text that she more or less enjoyed the viewing, and certainly enjoying writing the piece. I guess "I'd be ashamed to have written this" is a bit harsh but... she's a real writer in an extremely demanding field
